Quinoa: What it is and Health Benefits
Quinoa, actually a seed, but marketed as a whole grain, has a whole host of health benefits. Quinoa is a complete protein, making it a great choice, especially for all my vegetarians & vegans. Native to the Andes mountains in South America, this food has been a staple to the peoples of this region for thousands of years.
Quinoa takes less time to cook than traditional grains, and a little goes a long way, making it a perfect survival food. It is also loaded with vitamins and minerals, making it a delicious, nutritious alternative to other grains or pasta.
