cosmic connection through diet
"I went through a brief period of extremism, but living rigidly has it’s own limitations so I am now beyond that. I don’t judge others or myself harshly for our choices because it, too, leads to disease. What fuels me is a sustainable and fulfilling commitment to health." -Paul Bashir Daher
Plant foods grow in soil; the top layer of the Earth. Earth, as we seemingly forget most of the time, is a planet that belongs deeply to the Cosmos. In other words, plant foods contain Cosmic information. And since our bodies are made of star elements, when we eat plant foods we fill our bodies with familiar information.
Cooking plant foods kills over 75% of that information. When we aim to eat as much raw + organic plant foods as possible, we’re at the helm of disease because we serve our bodies and the planet as more of a blessing and less of a burden. It isn’t an absolute approach for becoming enlightened beings while we’re here but it’s a fantastic place to start. Also alarmingly relevant in today’s world with the level of suffering we undergo as a species. We ought to consider that the stuff we fill our bodies with may not be compatible with the materials we’re comprised of.
The world may refer to it as veganism but I simply consider it an awakening. I went through a brief period of extremism, but living rigidly has it’s own limitations so I am now beyond that. I don’t judge others or myself harshly for our choices because it, too, leads to disease. What fuels me is a sustainable and fulfilling commitment to health. The reason I set out on this journey is because I thoroughly enjoy the discovery of truth and natural health sciences is a pocket that I’m naturally drawn to - like a 3 year old consumed with wonderment. I love it. And at the moment, diet is the modality I’m steadfast on mastering.
Naysayers will tell you that you can’t survive on plant based foods but the scientific evidence is overwhelming. You may not only survive on plant foods but thrive. Many people try doing it but limit themselves to the 20 or so species of plants that make up 90% of our commonly known choices. Plant foods are extremely abundant in variety. There are over 20,000 species of edible plants on the planet. All it takes is a little exploration and creativity and you’ll find that plant foods not only cover all of our nutritional/energy requirements but they satiate the sensory experiences we crave out of food 3 times a day.
Another thing we must do is combine plants with a sound mind, sunlight, love, moderate exercise, fresh air, quality sleep and clean water every day. Those are the real pillars for radiant health while we’re living on this beautiful planet.
